BSD Solutions is a leading building automation and systems integration contractor locally owned and operated in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Founded in 2001, BSD currently employs approximately 65 people including system designers, technicians and electricians. BSD is a complete turnkey solution, offering Building Automation services for the initial system design, programming, installation and verification of building automation systems of various types (including Tridium, Alerton, Distech, Johnson Controls and Phoenix Controls) and complete integration of multiple systems.
BSD is currently seeking qualified and highly skilled Senior Building Automation Technicians to work under minimal supervision providing high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, onsite customer interface. The ideal candidate would show a high level of complete technical competence including reading and interpreting of contract documents and mechanical drawings, start-up and verification of mechanical equipment and integration of various automation systems communicating via protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LON. A Senior Technician shall also be able to mentor junior building automation technicians in construction and service roles.
Qualifications
Post secondary education in electronic/electrical technology, computer technology, mechanical technology or mechanical/electrical engineering with a minimum of 3 years working experience as a building automation technician. Must be able to coordinate the work of othrs at multiple jobsites and show effective interpersonal skills to represent BSD to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner. Must possess an ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people and demonstrate technical capabilities. Must have experience in understanding and writing computer programs with industry specific software applications.
