Who We Are, What We Do, and Why We Do It.

We are an independent building controls contractor that specializes in the integration and management of building information systems.

Our focus is on the complexities of control systems utilizing popular industry standard protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus, and N2, as well as existing Legacy systems.

Our goal is to provide our customers with a seamlessly interconnected central management interface to all of their building systems.

BSD stands for "Building System Design". So what exactly is Building System Design?

A building is composed of many separate systems. Each of these systems plays a crucial role in how a building functions. From systems that regulate the quality of the air we breathe to those that monitor and control traffic through secure areas. Mechanically speaking, each is intrinsically isolated from the other.

At BSD our job is to design the solution to bring these building systems together. We are experts in Building Automation and System Integration. Our goal is to provide you with easy, one-touch access to every system in your building.

Building Automation is the method of using a system of intelligent, programmable devices to constantly monitor and control the electronic and mechanical systems within a building.

It is the most efficient way to maintain a healthy, comfortable, and safe environment.

It also provides building owners with huge energy savings by optimally controlling power-hungry mechanical equipment, lighting systems, even controlling window blinds to decrease or increase sunlight entering particular areas of a building.

A Building Automation System (BAS) is the central nervous system of the building.

Building Systems Integration is a means of allowing different building systems to communicate with each other regardless of what language they speak. These days there are plenty of different languages out there, which are in fact called "protocols". Some systems speak BACnet, some speak LON, while others only speak Modbus.

Protocols notwithstanding, we have the right products and solution to seamlessly connect all of your building systems.
